Type III shoes
Xth century in the middle XIIth century
Type III shoes
Medieval shoes hand sewn with a waxed linen thread in a quality leather (vegetable tanned) using the turned shoe technique.
It matches type III and are authentic for a period going from the middle of the IXth century to XIth century. This type of shoe was common in all of North-West Europe in this period.
Edges are pulled down and sewn with a flat seam of linen thread.
These shoes are made according to archaeological sources of Charavines (France).
For accurate fitting please send a paper template of your foot, taken whilst wearing the socks you intend to wear with the shoes.
I can then better ensure the correct size shoe is sent to you.
